The Engineering Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico feels greatly pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for distinguished young professionals from the environmental engineering of the Americas can perform an academic stay with our prestigious group of researchers.
Being the university world one characterized by the exchange of ideas and knowledge, the possibility of learning from the experiences of work and study, as well as the knowledge of colleagues from other countries, is a strategic commitment of the Institute of Engineering. In that vein, we are honored to participate in this program in conjunction with the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering. We are confident that this initiative will arouse interest among graduates and we trust that other prestigious universities in the hemisphere will be added with a similar offer.

1. Participants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Be national or reside legally in a member country of AIDIS, with the exception of Mexico. Foreigners residing in Mexico will not be considered as candidates.
  2. Have a maximum of 24 years for undergraduate and Masters level for 26 years as of the date of delivery of the request.
  3. Having obtained a degree in environmental engineering (or related) or master's degree in environmental engineering (or related) between 1 January 2018 and 8 July 2018, at a higher education institution located in a country that is a member of AIDIS (with the exception of Mexico.
  4. Send your documents electronically to the headquarters of AIDIS (celia.castello@aidisnet.org), with a copy to the chapter of AIDIS (see annex), and the Engineering lnstitute (GBuitronM@iingen.unam.mx).

The documents that are to integrate the file of the application are:
• application form duly filled.
• Curriculum Vitae.
• Copy of the birth certificate.
• Copy of the degree of environmental engineer (or related) or, as the case may be.
If this is the case, copy of the registration in the master's degree program in environmental engineering (or related) and letter from the academic tutor where authorizes the student to participate in this call.
• Academic Record (transcript of the courses that make up the plan of studies). .
• Academic letters of recommendation 3.
• Proof of good health, issued by recognized institution in the field of the respective country.
• Copy of valid passport with validity of more than one year from the date of filing of the application.
• Letter of motivation.

2. The national chapters of AIDIS will carry out the assessment of the dossiers submitted in a timely manner and will define the candidates of his country.

3. The parties will form a jury to evaluate the applications of the candidates of the scholarship, which shall be composed of an academic institute of engineering of "UNAM", by the President of the Mexican Association of Engineering, Science and Environmental Management BC. (AMICA), and by a member appointed by common accord of the AIDIS" and "UNAM".

4. The scholarship will be awarded in one of two categories, bachelor's or master's degree. This will be on the ticket, and a monthly amount of $11 ,000.00 MN (engineering degree) or $12,500.00 MN (master's degree) for six months, extendable. The commitment that takes the fellow is doing research work full-time in the facilities of the Institute of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, according to a work plan submitted to notify you of the time of the grant allocation.

5. The dates that apply in this procedure are the following: Delivery of application: up to 8 July 2018 Notification of the winner of the scholarship: 17 August 2018 Home of the Scholarship: 10 October 2018 Term of the Scholarship: 31 March 2019.

6. The aspects not covered by this convocation will be resolved by the Inner Council of the Institute of Engineering, UNAM.
