to undergraduate or graduate students of environmental engineering or related who are studying the last year of studies, or recently graduated and who are nationals or residents of a member country of AIDIS with the exception of Mexico, to participate in the


under the following B A S E S

1. Participants must meet the following requirements:

to. Be a national or legally reside in a member country of AIDIS, with the exception of Mexico. Foreigners residing in Mexico will not be considered as candidates.

b. Have a maximum of 24 years for a bachelor's degree and 26 years for a master's degree at the date of application delivery.

c. Have obtained a degree in environmental engineering (or related) or a master's degree in environmental engineering (or related) between July 9, 2018 and July 8, 2019, or be in the last year of the master's program in environmental engineering (or afín), in a higher education institution located in a member country of AIDIS with the exception of Mexico.

d. Submit an application with the supporting documents requested in the offices of the corresponding AIDIS national chapter (original and two copies). In addition, send a copy of the application with the supporting documents scanned to the UNAM Engineering Institute at mec@pumas.ii.unam.mx and to AIDIS Headquarters (aidis@aidisnet.org).

The documents that must be included in the application file are:

• Application form duly filled out.
• Curriculum vitae.
• Copy of the birth certificate.
• Copy of the degree of environmental engineer (or related) or master's degree, as the case may be.
• If applicable, a copy of the enrollment in the master's program in environmental engineering (or related) and letter from the academic tutor authorizing the student to participate in this call.
• Academic record (record of grades of the courses that make up the curriculum).
• 3 letters of academic recommendation.
• Proof of good health, issued by a recognized institution in the respective country.
• Copy of a valid passport valid for more than one year from the date of filing the application.
• Letter of reasons.

2. The national chapters of AIDIS will carry out the evaluation of the files submitted in a timely manner and define a single candidate. Subsequently, the final selection will be made among the candidates presented by each chapter of AIDIS and will be in charge of a jury composed of an academic appointed by the UNAM Engineering Institute, by the President of the Mexican Association of Engineering, Management and Environmental Sciences ( AMICA), Mexican chapter of AIDIS, and by a member designated by AIDIS Interamericana. Your decision will be unappealable.

3. The scholarship will be awarded in one of two categories, bachelor's or master's degree. This will consist of a monthly amount of $ 11,550.00 MN (engineering degree) and $ 13,125.00 MN (master's degree) for six months, non-extendable. The commitment acquired by the fellow is to perform full-time research at the facilities of the Institute of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, according to a work plan submitted at the time of notifying him of the scholarship assignment.

4. The dates that will be applied in this procedure are the following:

Application delivery: up to july 8th 2019

Notification of the winner of the scholarship: august 16th 2019

Start of the scholarship: october 10th 2019

Term of the scholarship: march 31st 2020

5. The aspects not foreseen in this Call will be resolved by the Internal Council of the UNAM Engineering Institute.
